LONGER DEVELOPER DELAYS EQUAL LONGER SIGNAGE DELAYS
There is no doubt that the Signage Industry in many ways is connected to the Building Industry, the more buildings go up, the more signs and wayfinding are needed. The recent news following a court judgement that has highlighted the need to separate town-planning criteria from environmental decision making, dealing with the ‘sustainability’ of a development and its impact on social and economic factors, is going to have a serious effect on developers and sign makers alike. There should be no objection to authorities weighing up the socio-economic effects of the planning decision on the environment but the reality is, the longer a developer is delayed, the longer the signage industry remains without business.

DIGITAL SIGNAGE STOKES THE LIGHTS OF LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas is known for its bright lights and giant signage. The marquees, billboards and illuminated wonders of the Wynn, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Bally's and Planet Hollywood gleam with promises for thrill-seekers and wide-eyed tourists and gargantuan profitability for their owners, the casinos and hotels that make Vegas come alive at night. They used to be neon; now they are mostly digital. But underneath all that garish, glitzy signage is a revolution on a smaller and equally mind-boggling scale.

GLASS PANELS IN AN INKJET ROLL PRINTER?
A completely new method of glass decoration has been developed by Regulus GmbH in Erlangen. After printing, the film is applied wet on the window panel, using the application method known from coloured vinyl films in order to avoid air bubbles.

SOME MOERSE FUNNY STUFF!
LED CAR SIGN
Isn't it strange how when you're driving along it's always everyone else who's the idiot? Of course from time to time we're all idiots, and for the most part not intentionally, but nevertheless inevitable and puerile hand gestures always seem to follow. Well the LED car sign let's you express yourself in more efficient and more considerate manner. You just fix the wireless remote in the front of your car, and place the unit on the back shelf. You have five different messages you can illuminate to whoever is behind you, a Smiley Face, Winking Face, 'Thanks', 'Back Off' or 'Sorry'. It's pretty silly, but we reckon it would help calm a lot of the over-heated nonsense that goes on out on the open road.
