CREATE TO THE MAX INNOVATION AWARDS 2009
Mandy Lancellas (Glass Art), the winner of this years Roland Create to the Max Innovation awards, will soon be jetting off with a partner to visit the Roland Creative Centre in Italy. The competition was launched for the first time this year and aimed at motivating Roland customers to push their boundaries in creativity and imagination. The five finalists that were chosen, blew everyone away with their masterpieces, as they inspired everyone at the Roland Versa Works Training & Create to the Max awards party, held on the third of October at MonteCasino.  

AN APPETITE FOR BUSINESS RATHER THAN FRUSTRATION WITH THE ECONOMIC SITUATION
An appetite for business rather than frustration with the economic situation, impulses for an economic upturn and innovations with a stimulating effect: there was hardly a hint of crisis at viscom which, with a marked increase in visitor numbers, set a signal for an economic upturn in the entire sector.   

GRAPHIC LAMINATES SCOOPS SILVER AT HOMEMAKERS FAIR
Large format digital printer, Graphic Laminates, was recently awarded a silver medal for their stand at Homemakers Fair.  

CRAIDON DISPLAY LAUNCHES AT SIGN AFRICA
Craidon Display was officially launched at the recent Sign Africa show in Johannesburg. Prior to joining the signage and display industry, owner Craig Van De Venter spent 10 years working on chartered yachts.

COURT GO-AHEAD FOR CITY OF TSHWANE SIGNS  
The Tshwane Metro Council is to go ahead with the erection of promotional signage in terms of its 2010 Host City Agreement with Fifa.  

CAPE TOWN NEW BY-LAWS IMMINENT
On 5 October 2009 the City Council of Cape Town discussed the proposed new by-laws and indicated that “sign-off” will be at the end of the month. This is not boding well for the already besieged outdoor advertising industry in Cape Town.

To create excitement around the soon to be released Batman Arkham Asylum PC, Playstation 3 and XBox game, Nu Metro Interactive has again partnered with Primedia Unlimited subsidiary and mall advertising specialist Primall Media, to whet the appetite of gamers frequenting entertainment zones in shopping malls.  

SAB’S BRUTAL FRUIT SIGNS PRIMALL MEDIA FOR NEW FLAVOUR CAMPAIGN
SAB spirit cooler brand Brutal Fruit has appointed Primedia Unlimited subsidiary Primall Media to promote its new flavour to ladies in close proximity to point of purchase. The new Berryluscious campaign has gone public in Cape Town and Pretoria and will continue to dominate mall advertising packages at the V&A Waterfront and Brooklyn Mall until January 2010. 

PRIMALL MEDIA ASSISTS EDGARS CELEBRATE 80TH YEARS
Primedia Unlimited subsidiary, Primall Media made the shoppers in 11 busy national shopping malls highly aware that Edcon’s Department store, Edgars was celebrating its milestone, 80th birthday. Primall Media drove consumers in-store to open Edgars’ accounts and as a bonus, receive R800 in free vouchers.
