Based on SVG (Scaled Vector Graphics), the Gefen Digital Signage Creator allows creative solutions limited only by the imagination. Included digital signage management software allows control over every aspect of the player's behavior. Video and audio files, RSS and live video streams can be imported and distributed to multiple displays over Ethernet. Scheduling and management functions are included with native support for iCal.
The built-in Web server grants direct access to each Controller for individual feature management including advanced configurations such as multiple DSCs (and displays) controlled by a master DSC. Output resolutions of up to 720p (1280x720) are supported on both VGA and HDMI output connectors. Dual-channel analog audio outputs are provided for local audio amplification. The sleek form factor allows flexible placement of each unit at the display location or behind the display device.
An integrated USB port can be utilized for additional storage space beyond the built-in flash memory. Automatic scheduling updates allow the unit to pull a new schedule from a LAN or WAN source at specified intervals for a completely maintenance-free solution. Advanced functions are provided such as RS-232 control of external devices and multi-screen distribution.
How It Works
Connecting the Gefen Digital Signage Creator unit to a network is as simple as plugging in an Ethernet cable. The integrated Bonjour service automatically configures the DSC to work on any network. Once the desired content is created, publishing to each DSC unit can be handled in either push or pull type scenarios.
The amazingly small size of the DSC will allow it to be easily hidden or mounted to a display. In essence, simply connect the DSC to a display and network, create and publish content, then benefit from years of reliable use from the Gefen Digital Signage Creator.
