Impact Media has recently taken Nike to new heights with its Life Centre Campaign, and creates the largest interactive digital advertising campaign in Johannesburg. This stands 30 stories high and 138 metres tall.  

CTFM AND PRIMALL MEDIA TEAM UP IN CRESTA
The popular seafood chain Cape Town Fish Market, and the Primedia Unlimited subsidiary Primall Media, have teamed up to entice potential customers with a Digital Ad Screen campaign in Cresta Shopping Centre.

INTELLIGENT ADVERTISING IN JAPAN
Tokyo, Japan, has recently seen the launch of digital advertising billboards that have been altered to have cameras that read the gender and age group of those looking at these smart billboards.  

NEC LIVE LAUNCHED FOR VARIETY OF INDUSTRIES
NEC has recently launched a new digital signage solution called NEC Live, which will focus on areas including hospitality, healthcare, education, travel, Government and retail verticals.  

CHRISTIE WINS JANUS DE L’INDUSTRIE 2010
The modular digital display solution manufacturer Christie® has been recognised for excellence by the Institut Français Du Design Awards, giving them the Janus de l'Industrie award.

ROLAND CARTRIDGE RECYCLING PROGRAMME LAUNCHED
Roland DGA Corp. has introduced a cartridge-recycling programme for the company’s inkjet customers. The new programme is Roland’s most comprehensive US environmental initiative to date, and allows for recycling of cartridges for all Roland wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters across the US including eco-solvent, solvent, sublimation, UV and aqueous models.

The washroom advertising specialist TLC has a new company to add to its growing portfolio. 1Life Direct, South Africa’s first direct, online life insurer, will now be seen in strategic washroom boards across the country.

NEW SALES MANAGER FOR PRISMAFLEX
The South African branch of Prismaflex International, based in Johannesburg, has appointed a new Sales Manager. Sean Gouws joins Prismaflex this month to assist with the world’s widest range of products for the out-of-home market.

TLC DRAWS ATTENTION OF IMAGE CONSCIOUS FEMALES WITH PLANET FITNESS AND DSTV
In a very interesting advertising campaign, washroom specialist TLC is teaming up with Planet Fitness for washroom adverts, while also drawing their attention to DTSV’s Zone Reality channel for those women who value beauty, health and fitness.

TENDER LOVING CARE WITH VANISH AND TLC 
TLC, the washroom advertising specialists and a division of Primedia Unlimited, have teamed up with Vanish. They will use TLC’s media moulding in Jet and Jetmart stores to target consumers to think about the appearance of clothing. 

MIRROR DECALS KEEPS REVLON TOP OF MIND
Revlon has teamed up with TLC and their super-sized Mirror Decals to create a top-of-mind presence for their targeted deodorant users. This campaign will span a three-month period.

PRIMEDIA UNLIMITED LAUNCHES NEW PLATFORM TO REACH SA’S CRÈME DE LA CRÈME
Primedia Unlimited has again taken the lead in media innovation by launching Golf Unlimited. The platform offers advertisers the unique opportunity to advertise on GPS units fitted in over 1000 golf carts in 28 of South Africa’s four and five star golf courses. 

WORLD CUP BILLBOARDS POWERED BY SOLAR
Several billboards promoting the World Cup were powered by the sun, thanks to an initiative funded by UNEP and GEF, in conjunction with the Department of Environmental Affairs. Reducing the carbon footprint of this major sporting event required the retro fitment of billboard lights, traffic lights and street lights in six FIFA Host Cities - Johannesburg, Pretoria, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Bloemfontein and Nelson Mandela Bay.

VISTA SYSTEM EXPANDS PROJECTING WALL BRACKET LINE
Vista System International has introduced a new variation in its popular projecting wall bracket line. The new projecting wall bracket comes without a metal base, so it can be mounted directly to the wall.  

DIY BALLOONS ARE CHILD'S PLAY
These balloons are available in A4 and A3 sizes, and are bonded to a piece of paper. You print your design on one side, then insert the other size into the printer, and print the second side. You then punch out of the paper, insert the one-way valve and plastic stick (provided) and inflate.  

FLEXMARK FLOOR ART FILMS NOW AVAILABLE
Flexmark’s floor art OV6604 digital films feature an anti-slip, 25mm, textured overlaminate for outdoor walkways and carpets. The company says Flexmark protects printed graphics and is durable under heavy foot traffic.  

CONDÉ INTRODUCES SUBLISLATE
Condé Systems, Inc. has added SubliSLATE to its DyeTrans family of sublimatable products. Ideal for cherished images of a favourite vacation or the ‘great outdoors’, SubliSLATE is a new substrate for dye-sub transfer that combines full-colour photographs with the natural beauty and durability of rustic slate.  

ENFOCUS ANNOUNCES INSTANT PDF 09
Instant PDF 09 is the latest version of Enfocus’ easy and reliable tool to produce press-ready certified PDFs. By preflighting and automatically correcting PDF files after creation, Instant PDF 09 brings unprecedented simplicity and standard compliance to desktops of designers. The latest release comes with support for Adobe CS 5 and QuarkXPress 8 applications, as well as the latest industry standards.

A slew of new products and expanded capabilities for the OEM, Industrial and Aftermarket channels was exactly what FESPA attendees were looking for, according to INX Digital.

Although all modern gadgets have the goal to combine good-looks with multifunctional technology and effectiveness, this is so much better then the others! Why? Because you can actually wear it! It has all the cool stuff in it like a Bluetooth and built-in MP3 player or touch sensitive control pads. But the ability through which its promoted is its compatibility with GPSoverIP. DPP-FP90 & DPP-FP70
Koreans should be very happy people because, for now at least, their country is the only one in which Sony released their new compact printers. The two models, 'DPP-FP90′ and 'DPP-FP70′, provide you with dye sublimation and with high-resolution prints in just 45 seconds.

The reason why these printers are so innovative is the option of printing without the need for a PC. They can support 24 models of memory cards and have multi-slots.
