Speed Wrap Winner Crowned At Sign Africa East London Expo

Kobus Smith won the Speed Wrap Challenge, held at the Sign Africa East London expo on 15 February. He won R3500, and will compete at the main Speed Wrap Challenge in Johannesburg for a place at the FESPA Speed Wrap Masters in 2018.

Sign Africa East London Expo Brings Latest Printing Technology To Eastern Cape

The successful Sign Africa East London expo attracted 265 visitors from East London, Port Elizabeth, Queenstown, King William's Town, Butterworth, Mthatha and Alice, with 100 enthusiastic visitors attending the expo within the first hour. The event, which was held at the East London ICC on 15 February, showcased cutting-edge technology to the eastern region of the Eastern Cape for the first time, such as: all aspects of wide format digital printing, garment decoration, screen printing and signage. The Sign Africa expos are sponsored by Roland and Mimaki.

For the MTV Africa Awards, co-sponsor Absolute Vodka joined forces with agencies Enterprise Republic and Moving Tactics Digital Impact to create an opportunity for VIP red carpet guests to star in their very own 30-second music video.  

Grey Design Transmits Life-Saving Satellite Campaign To Home Owners

Pilot project Satellite employs the use of creatively designed, multi-coloured vinyls, stuck onto satellite dishes and mounted onto houses, allowing paramedics and other emergency professionals to easily locate house numbers in the event of a crisis. Ten houses were chosen and given clearly marked house numbers.   

FESPA Invites Contestants To Create Striking Design

The global printing community has been set a new challenge for FESPA’s 2017 World Wrap Masters. The Wrap Masters Design Competition invites contestants to create a design for a Formula 4S speed boat, which will be used by the Haugaard Racing Team in the 2017 World Formula 4 UIM Powerboat Championship.

Expand A Sign Spearheads Uzwelo Bags Initiative

The Uzwelo Bags initiative, spearheaded by Expand a Sign, sees thousands of metres of their waste textile fabric donated to teams of sewers from underprivileged backgrounds.
